Center Point Rectange Add-In

Before I download this add-in, I have a quick question if I convert it to an oblong in my sketch after inserting do I loose the centerpoint? I'm looking at using it for bolt slots thinking I can use the center point for bolt placement in the assembly.

Thanks

msk

I use this from kwikmcad.com, it works slick.

Oh sorry, it was in my head i swear lol.

It does retain the center point and all constratints, here is a sketch with arcs added, I think this is what you are asking for.

msk, all the addin does is allow you to PICK a center point and drag the rectangle out from there and it automatically adds a horizontal and vertical constraint to the rectangle. If you draw 2 arcs on the end then delete the horizontal lines they horizontal constraint is lost because it was tied to that horiz line. Your "slot" will then be free to move up and down but stay centered left to right.  It does not create a workpoint.

Change the (vertical) lines to construction linetype.

Takes too long JD. Just create a circle midpoint on each side and coincident to a corner. No need to trim with a circle or arc.  (This isn't AutoCAD) See attached.

Thanks guys, what I was most inertested in was if the center point would give me an insertion point for adding bolts for slots at the assy level.
