Cant create threaded holes

This seems to be a common problem from the search results Ive found, but I havent found an exact solution for Inventor 2010 with someone running XP. I downloaded SP2 and installed. I could create threaded holes yesterday for some reason, I had opened the thread.xls and dont know if that has something to do with it. I opened it again today after I couldnt create threaded holes and for whatever reasons I cant create threaded holes again. Any suggestions?

Run Excel, you might need to accept a security agreement. I am running
IV2010sp2 on XP at home/laptop without any problems.

Try this:
Regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion15.0\System\Preferences\Part\
UseExcelToReadThreadFile=1
