Hi,
I am trying to draw a 3d sheetmetal part from the drawing attached. I have tried various methods but cannot produce this shape successfully so that I can get a flat pattern.
Can someone please have a look at this drawing and suggest a method on how I can achieve this?
I thought I would share what I created. I'm still figuring out when and where I need to apply my 2D sheet metal pattern drafting knowledge and this was one of the times I needed to draw both the "plan" and "elevation" views. It's interesting to see all of the different, yet similar, modeling techniques displayed by the various posters.
