Hi All : I am running Inventor 2015 (all updates) in Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro running Parallels 9 (all updates). My issue is that Inventor won't select geometry while in Sketch mode. I have tried "offset" and "scale" in "Modify" and "Fillet" in "Create", to name a few. This seems to be recent - I am not a frequent or power user, but I am almost positive I was able to do this not too long ago. I fear I clicked a button either in Inventor, or possibly Parallels, that chenged a setting and I just can't figure out what it might be.
Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated!

Have you rebooted the computer and the problem persists?
Are you sure you are in an active sketch?
What environment? (ipt, iam, idw)
What selection filter active?
JD...thx for your response....I have:
restarted INventor
rebooted Windows
restarted Parallels
restarted the host Mac
The selection filter you show is checked as indicated (Select Sketch Features)
The sketch is active, I think. I clicked start a sketch, then clicked the surface and it entered sketch mode. This makes it active, right? I can zoom and pan and rotate it. I have tried offset, scale, split, and etc.
In ipt. env.
Thanks!

After your last post (it would help if you attached ipt file) I re-read your original post and now I am thinking you are trying to select existing solid geometry or previous sketch geometry in current sketch.
If this is the case, you must Project Geometry into the current sketch.
If this is not the case, attach your file here - or do a Screencast recording.
JD...it looks like that worked! I don't have the tutorial book I was working in with me right now. I need to go back and see if I missed a step to project geometry.
Thanks for your help!

Well I checked the tutorial book (Shih's "Learning AutodeskInventor 2013" and it doesn't say to project geometry (page 3-21). Projecting Geometry worked, but I didn't think I needed to....I can keep working through the tutorial, but I will keep looking.

Can you attach your *.ipt file here?
Is this the step you are referring to?
