Can't remove COG from assembly model

Hi All,

I have an assembly model that, all of a sudden, continuously displays the COG. I can't switch it off from the assemble and it isn't switch on in the part model:-

Another strange thing is I can't make that part (boiler) switch to invisible. I can make it transparent, delete, etc. but I can't make it invisible in the assembly model! All other parts are working fine and as they should do.

Anyone experienced this before?

Thanks.

Rob

Can you open each one of the files and isolate the problem to one of the part files

or

does it only appear in the assembly?

If it is isolated to the Boiler part file - can you attach that file here?

What happens if you do a Manage>Rebuild All?

It only appears on the Boiler part of the assembly. If I open the boiler part it's not visible and the model functions as normal. I've attached the assemble with just the boiler so you can see.

Thanks,

Rob.

We need the other parts that make up the Assembly besides the boiler.ipt

Inventor 2020, In-Cad, Simulation Mechanical

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

Hi Blair,

Unfortunately, I don't have the permission from my customer upload the whole assembly. This only seems to be affecting the boiler as I can delete all other parts from the assembly and still can't remove the COG or make it invisible. Is the COG displayed at you end?

Thanks for your help.

That seems to have been an issue with Inventor 2016 and was solved with Update 1.

Unfortunately it came back again with 2017.

Oh no! It only seemed to happen after I did the R2 update! Hope Autodesk put out a fix for this.

Thanks

Hi bobbie.k,

nevermind that is R3 not SP3 Smiley Embarassed

and JDMather points out that you are running Inventor 2017, guess I missed that Smiley Embarassed

There is a SP3:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
