Can't project geometry of a view in .idw enviroment.

I am creating a view, then a sketch on the top of the view. I should be able to project geometry of the view onto the sketch, for some rason Project Geometry icon is grayed out.

I know this is possible, so why it wont let me do it this time?

Most likely you created a sketch at the page level rather than the view level.

Click on the view getting highlighted view boundary.
DO NOT move the mouse.
Hit s on the keyboard to start a new sketch in that view.
