Hello,
I am having difficulties opening some files today. They are files that I normally work with everyday. They are an stp. file and jt. file. See attachments please. Somebody have any ideas?? These are hot items I need to be working on so the sooner the better, please!
When I do this, inventor keeps closing unexpectedly as well.
Thanks,
Gage
Reboot the machine.
Create a simple 1mx1mx1m cube and save in STEP or desired format.
Can you create the file?
Can you read the file back into Inventor?
Post screen shot of your Add-ins Manager.
I suspect you will have to do a Repair Install
or even
a complete Clean Uninstall and Re-install (with anti-virus and UAC off)
and then
this time creat a Windows Restore Point once you have verified that Inventor is working correctly so that you can restore to good state if this happens again.
But first check the Add-ins.
I just noticed that you haven't even stated what version of Inventor you are using.
OK - I see the information 2012 in one of the images.
Have you installed all Service Packs?
Tools>Add-Ins
Finally got the file to open, but here is what happened when I tried converting it to a dwg format.
Did the file(s) pass Inventor Quality check (green checkmark(s) in browser?
