Can't copy feature

I am trying to copy and paste the revolved cut feature in this model to the other end of the part, for some reason I either can't remember how to do it, or it's not working the way it should.

Could someone give it a try let me know what I am missing?

Can't you just mirror the feature?  You would need to make a plane.

Don't want to mirror or pattern, I need to copy the feature, then change the diameters.

Used to be able to do this, it does not work the way it says it does if you search help for "copy feature".

Help file says if you RMB the feature in the display or the browser, you should have option to copy, I do not get that option.

I'm using 2010, so I can't see your part though.

Watched that this morning when I first tried to do the copy.

I think this is a bug in 2011, maybe SP1.

Need someone with 2011 to try this and see if it works for them.

Thanks,

John

I've got 2011 and it didn't work for me either. No 'copy' option on right-click. Of course you can copy the sketch, but that's not what you're talking about, is it? The Help is unclear, anyway. It says "From the Edit menu, select Copy or press Ctrl + C." What Edit menu? Where?

I think it is a bug.

Its not a bug, you need to delete that projected loop from Sketch 2 then constrain it using model edges instead, not loops.  You can't copy sketches that use projected loops,

Then copy and paste at will.

have you guys confirmed that it doesn't work on any part in 2011?

does it work with an extrude feature (rather than a revolve)?

or is it just this one part in particular?

just curious.

Don't remember seeing any restrictions on using project cut edges with reference to this.  Do you know if there is something in the help that I missed?
