(Leave microsoft hotfix alone and install autodesk hotfix)
May want to do a search before posting so you don't waste everybody's time.

Hi all, been a while since i have visited this here forum. Hope all is well in the IV world (yes, sarcasm).

We are runnin IV8 (no sarcasm), and ended up removing the hotfixes manually.

I notice the Adesk Hotfixes do not migrate down to IV 8. Is there one that will work for it? I really would like to continue updating my windows. Or has Autodesk ruined any chance i have of turning auto-updates back on.

Autodesk has continued making and supporting software since release 8 that continues to allow Windows to automatically update.

From what I've seen, it was Microsoft that created the need for this Autodesk hotfix, and Autodesk appropriately created one for all currently SUPPORTED versions of their software.

This sort of scenario should always be factored into the decision to upgrade or not.
