Now, i'm using inventor pro 2014, we usually used frame for body structure design. (please see my attach file). And we need to prepare material to made it. in our factory, we used pipe steel with length parameter: 6000mm/1 pipe steel (the length depending provider)
Inventor software can be automatic calculator how many pipe steel need to be used ?
(one pipe steel, two, three,... or more pipes (one pipe with length 6000mm))
Inventor is capable to calculate cut length for each member, and sum total length, but it doesn't know how many pipes will be used, you may need to calculate it by yourself.
