I created sheet metal parts from boundary patch. In the included files, the boundary patch is not flat, so it didnt unfold. Is there a better way doing that or a better method to create flat boundary patches ?

One of the parts appears that it should be cylindrical.
I would revolve line as surface, trim the surface and then Thicken.
The other parts looks like it might be conical (I didn't check closely).
If it is, I would revolve line for conic surface, trim the surface and Thicken.
Inventor will only unfold planes, cylinders and cones or Lofts made with the Sheet Metal Loft tool.
Hi!
These parts has plastic deformation, it means when you create them with surfaces coming from solid tools like patch, loft, sweep or shell (solid), you can't ensure the same thickness all over the part, and therefore, the part will not flat.
If you able to create the surfaces based only in 2D sketches, using arcs (spline... sometimes works), and then aplly the thickness, maybe you can achieve the part's flat pattern.
Regards.
