BomXtractor

We are succesfully using Charles'
BomXtraxtor (build 1-8-2002). Works great.

Now our customer needs a BOM containing the Title
property.  How to select / deselect colums?

The assy contains about 700 unique parts, so hopefully someone helps
us.

We're running Inventor 5.3 until next
Friday.

Regards,

Selecting Columns was on my list of things to do but haven't had many requests
for it.  I could add the Title property pretty easily, adding the selection
mechanism is a more difficult.  The current version supports both R5.3 and
R6.

Ok, wondering wether more users place the Title
property on the parts list . . . If nobody reacts well we should change over to
use description property.

Another thing is the maximum number of levels
(nested assy's). Our 700 parts assy goes 5 deep. BomXtractor stops at 4. Is it
just me to go 5?

Willy:

FWIW I use Title all the time. It is what appears as the description
field (which is called Title) on all of my drawings and the BOM.

So far I haven't tackled the BomXtractor but I will soon.

In that case, is it not a good idea to add a bunch
of columns?, we can delete the columns that we don't want.

BTW I use Title too. Usually though Description has
the same info as Title. Part Mass would be great too.
