BOMS IN A DEATIL DRAWING... UG...

I have an assembly drawing, and i want to balloon it. I want an "expanded"
bill of materials... I'm totally lost

Help....

You have to get R6 if you want expanded BOM's. A workaround is to create a view of each sub-assy and generate additional BOMs for each sub-assy. Turn off the heading for the additional BOMs, line them up, and renumber them so they look like one long BOM.



I hope someone else has a better idea.

was it a reminant from MDT?

Must be a MDT memory unless you've used/seen R6 lately. Expanding the BOM is a new R6 feature.

You can have a total BOM but not split into seperate sub assemblies.

If I select "only parts" it does what I want.
Problem was, there was a balloon from the old bom that was done as first level
components...  ugg...
