BOM - Material List

Hi All

We have a general template (excel file) for material list. Is there way to connect this template with inventor. Or alternatively change the inventor BOM list to suite our template?

If you mean physical material properties of the part then yes you can create materials or modify existing materials to your needs then save to your style library.

If you mean the parts list on the drawing then again yes you can create new or alter existing parts lists and save to your style library.

I don't believe you can directly drive Inventor parts material from excel, this usually only handles parameters.

It may be possible to drive the physical properties of a part from excel using ilogic but I couldn't guarantee this, you would need someone with more ilogic experience to say definitively.
