BOM Grouping

I frequently need to list several parts with the same part number but with different discriptions and part formulas.  Inventor keeps grouping them even when I turn the group fuction off.  I just want inventor to list them by 'item' and I will sort them as required but I can't find a way to make this work.  Is it possible to do this?
