Bolted Connection Content Center files give duplicate file error in vault

Inventor 11 Service Pack 2
Windows XP SP2
Vault 5 SP1?

We are using Inventor 11 with the vault. We are using content center from in the vault. (not a local content center)

We are using a bolted connection in an assembly. When we attempt to add the assembly to the vault it says

[ERROR] The following files already exist in the vault and cannot be added due to vaulting restrictions:

1_4-UNC.ipt

The part is a NUT and the NUT is identical to the one in the vault already...but the path is different.

The one that is already in the vault is in
C:\WORK\Standard Libraries\Content Center Files\en-US\AS 2465 - Inch

The one we are trying to add is
C:\WORK\Standard Libraries\Content Center Files\en-US\Hex Nut - Inch

Why does it not reference the same item from the vault.
Support said that we could turn off unique file names, but I don't understand why I should do that?

Does Content Center use unique file names in Inventor11 SP2?

TIA

The short answer is NO.

The real fun happens when IV decides to to swap a SHCS (1-2.ipt) with a Hex
or Shoulder bolt (1-2.ipt) without any warning whatsoever to the user.
(because one or another is missing)

There is a patch (more like a complete new install) you can get through your
reseller that is a CC with unique filenames.

Just turn off the Unique Filenames switch in the Project File and get on
with your day.
