Bill of Materials Question

I would like to create a bill of materials where I can get the total length of each part used.  In other words I have something called PART A and I might have 6 or 7 of them at different lengths.  I want to get a total length of the material used.  My parts list is showing each one listed as its own part with individual lengths.  How do I convert this?

Maybe sending a small data set would help us see what you are doing wrong.

So should I send you the specific files that I'm trying to combine?

I think I just figured it out.  Will play around some more and let you know.  Thanks.

If things are still awry...A simple investigation of the different quantity iprops in Inventor may be all you need to do:

ITEM QTY

QTY

BASE QTY

UNIT QTY
