I'm trying to find a laptop that will be able to design complex parts and small assemblies (not many parts) flawlessly. It also has to be as durable as possible. Any ideas?
I use an AlienWare MX17 when I am out of the office. Not the lightest to lug around but it has the horsepower to act like a decent desk-top unit.
It produces 7.6 - 7.8 in the Windows Performance test for CPU, memory and graphics card with a 6.0 for the hard-drive.
I would have no problems using it as a desk-top replacement unit.
