How the heck do I make a bent coil following an arc 90 deg.?

I do know how to make coil and helix, screws etc bur I cannot figure out how to make this coil

Bend Part would be far far easier.

can't get that to work. Bend line needs to be straigth ?

This one was created using the bend part method.  There are other ways of doing this that are more accurate (like the method Maria used), but if you just need a quick-and-dirty representation, the bend part method is great.
