Bending An sheet metal part

Hi friends,

 

I want to bend the sheet metal part as on 90deg

I have tried using bend and Fold tool but it dose not produce the right model as desired.

please let me know if you have come across any situation like this before & how to overcome

 

Kindly refer to the attachment for the screen shot  of the part

Hi,

 

you can model this with the contour roll command first, then an extrusion.

 

See attached 2013 inventor part

Where did you get the image in your attachment if you don't know how to create the model?

 

BTW - Dan Banach's part can be done using only sheet metal tools, you don't need to Extrude.

 

Look in Help for Rolled Contour and Contoured Flange.

I have just re-created the sheet metal part emulating your work flow after seeing your feature history tree picture, so much easier than my first attempt. All these little things make it easier in our day jobs.
