Batch Convert IDW to DXF

I have seen a program to batch convert IDW to DWG. Is there one somewhere to
convert IDW to DXF?

Hmmm I am seeing a pattern here. It appears I should try to find time to write some
macros for IDW to DXF and MDTto IPT for my iBatchrun program.

Problem comes in finding the time. 8^/

No I don't . My guess is that all these things would only take a few lines of code, and
have very slight differences between them. If I get a chance in the next night or two I
will see what I can do. If I am not mistaken some of this stuff has probably been posted
to the Inventor.customization NG if a person were to search in there for it.

Thanks,
We are not far enough along in our IV implementation yet to need it (My MDT
one works great), but I saw the thread and thought i would ask.

I Just changed the DWG convert macro from Kent Keller's site to do DXF late yesterday. I have done a few conversions to DXF but have not fully tested it. The few that I did seemed to be fine. If it is OK with Kent I will be happy to e-mail it to you and send it to Kent if he wants. Like the DWG, the DXF runs with Kent's batch run program.

That would be great. If Kent approves of course.
Would it be possible to do the same for IPT to Sat?

Sure send away, I will add it to the page. 8^) From some help from Lars Nielson I know I
could do a DWF one, but he also told me he is close to releasing a Batch translator that
will do most variations of exports.

Kent:

I have sent the DXF macro to you. I had just started to work on a step and sat translator macro to run with you batch program but it sounds like Lars is doing a much better one than what I was working on. Mine was just to get me by when I had a hundred or so to convert to step or sat.
Bryon, I did not see a e-mail for you but I assume that you will be able to get it from Kent.

I have replaced the SaveasDWG macro with a SaveAs macro. It contains macros
to save to all the normal export file formats. All except for DWG and DXF
save using the system defaults only. DWG and DXF use a ini file if one is
set up for it .. right Ken?

Be aware, I can't even say for certain that I have tried each output (bmp,
igs, etc) in each file type (ipt, iam, idw, ipn), but what I did test went
without a hitch. Be sure to let me know if anyone does run into any that
don't work or have problems.

http://www.mymcad.com/kwik/iCode/icode.htm then click on the iBatchRun
link and finally at the bottom of the page, get the SaveAs Macros.

Enjoy.
