The assembly I created was done using the frame generator and my custom shapes. In the DESCRIPTION field in the iProperties I have entered the description that I want to show up when I balloon the view. In View C everything works fine as shown. In View A it won't produce any annotation when I try to balloon the parts - it will just produce an arrow. This is wierd because everything comes from the same files. Any idea why this is happening?

I have ran into this. If you have breaks in the part and you try to balloon to close to the break the text and sometimes the leader will not show. You may have to move the break down a little or the balloon till it shows.
I tried to balloon the parts in all different places and I moved the breaks but it still won't work. It's like there's nothing in the description field to reference. Hmm.
When I RMB to edit the balloon I get nothing in the description.
One of the parts I am trying to balloon is in a sub-assembly. I opened a new .idw and low and behold ------ it works. Why would that be?
What do you mean by breaks? Are you referring to break lines on detail views? If so, yes, I did but I'm still not getting any description at the end of the balloon.
Yes
Well without the data I cannot test here it may just be a bad IDW file some how it may have been corrupted.
Steve,
Could you post the files here or share them with me? The behavior you describes does not sound right.
Thanks!
Do you have an ftp site? Its 26mb,
Hi! I can set up a secure account for you to upload. Please send me an email so I can send out the invite.
Thanks!
Sorry about that but the files are quite large. One thing I did notice is that anything within one sub-assembly will not balloon. Everything else works.
Oops! I forgot to mention that the solution to my issue was that I couldn't balloon the sub-assemby because when I went to balloon the .idw I didn't select "PARTS ONLY".
