Autodesk University

I know it may be late in the game but, has anyone been to Autodesk University? I am considering going but would like to hear other's opinions before I go. Has there been a wealth of information concerning Inventor or has it been mainly Architectural?
Thanks

I went last year.  I found enough classes to
keep me busy all four days.  If you look at the classes you will see they
are segregated by product.  Just look for the Inventor classes, but you
must register ahead of time.  You have to check in at each class, I'm not
sure how they deal with drop-ins.

My only complaint was how few lab classes there
were for Inventor.

There are a lot of classes available at AU on all of Autocads products. I went last year and I was able to take Inventor courses in almost every time slot. However these are 1-4 hour classes which will get you the jist of the issues discussed rather than a course you could get from a local provider which could get far more indepth.

I found that if you went in with a good knowledge of the product and had some specific issues you wanted to talk about/questions answered there is a lot you can learn there.

I don't think you could go there without using Inventor perviously and pick up nearly as much althought there were some introductory classes.

I think the people that get the most out of AU classes are the resellers.

But if you can't find any useful classes you're still in Vegas.

AU is very worth while. There's a lot of Inventor classes this year.
Unfortunatly, I won't be able to make most of them because I'm only
there for 2 days and those days I'm busy teaching 4 non-Inventor
classes.

But the even is very worth while, and fun. Free chow at lunch. Networks
with all kinds of new people. Put faces to names for people here in the
newsgroups. Etc.

Drop ins are generally welcome, after the program begins and registrees
are seated. There is a limit on available papers.... but those will be
posted later. Labs are more closely monitored.
