The faster the CPU core the better. Inventor can only use a single core for the IPT and IAM environment. It will take advantage of multi cores in the IDW, FEA and Studio environment.
It really will depend on what part of Inventor you spend most of your time as to the CPU requirements. Look for at least 8Gb of memory and the fastest "gaming" graphics card your budget will support.
