Autodesk/Bentley BIM workflows and support

Increasingly, in the last several years, my clients are asking for BIM coordination. The City of NY has contractually required the use of Bentley products for all macro level BIM civil projects that I have encountered. My clents are sub-contractor level manufacturers who, for several reasons, do not work in Bentley or BIM products. Instead, they opt for Autocad, Inventor, or Solidworks. Considering that municipalities are opting for Bentley products and manufacturers are not, it is essential that Autodesk and Bentley provide workflow support if they expect customers to realize the efficiencies promised with BIM coordination. As an autodesk customer, what are my options for workflow support in the ever expanding BIM environment?
