company I work for uses AutoCad, within that program there are formated
drawing sheets. The drawing sheets have the company logo in the title block
with all the info included. The drawing size used most is a architectual size
D. When I start a drawing I insert the board with title block (in paper
space)and do my geometry in modle space.
The company now is using Inventor
and I am gather
ing information to make Inventor the primary platform.
I've been working with Inventor for awhile and want to progress.
I have
very little problems with modling. Now I want to use Inventor as a 2-D tool.
What I'd like to do is import the format that I use in AutoCad to Inventor so
all I have to do is hit the iwd icon and up pops the sheet with the format I
need. I have a lot of 3-D drawings that I wood like to make into a 2-D dwg.
How can I accomplish this.

What I want to do is open a new IWD go to Drawing Resources, open Sheet
Formats and pick the D size format. When the format appears it will be the
company's border and title block. I don't know how to do it.

I've created a border and title block. I haven't entered any anotations
yet. How do I get the company logo on the title block? Can give me the info to
save everything? I've already named it, but how do I put it in the top level
template directory. Please give me a step by step process. Should I rename
mine Standard? Steve

I renamed my file Standard.idw and renamed the one in Templates
StandardC.idw. Then I filed mind to the Templates folder. Everything
transfered nicely, but, when I opened a new idw dwg under Standard.idw what
came up was a border and title that I created without any anotations. What
went wrong? Steve
