Assembly...what the heck are these things???

Hi All,

Working on an assembly for a customer (his files) and in all of the assemblies they have these what I will call 'sub lists' of components. I cannot seem to really do anything with them and not sure what they are good for.

A little enlightenment would be fantastic. 🙂 Tks!

Btw: his models are from 2009 or 2010 inventor.

Your customer has used the 'Simplify' command to combine assemblies into single parts.  Usually used in more complex designs. You're not really going to need to worry about them unless you need to break the simplified parts down.
