Not a deal breaker but very annoying -
Since moving to 2010 and making a change to the assembly template the item numbers under the BOM structure have started with 8 rather than one. It seems that no matter what I do there is no way to revert it to 1 meaning that every one of my users assemblies must be renumbered. What's worse is that every attempt to correct the issue ends up driving the number up one (at 16 now).
Is there a way to reset the item number to start at one in a template?
Thanks,
Eric

If you open a new drawing file with your template - then save it as a new template file, it will reset the view label numbers and letters etc,
So im guessing if you open a new assembly file and save as a new .iam template, it should reset the BOM numbering?
That didn't work but I was very hopeful for a moment, until I realized I hadn't switched over to structured. Thanks for the attempt.

Hello,
I see that you have the same promblem as me and I was wondering if you found a solution for it yet?
Thanks,
Malin
Actually yes, one of our users figured it out a few weeks back.
RMB the structured tab, select disable BOM view, accept the warning then re-enable structured BOM view. This did the trick.
