Assembly Parameter

Suppose I have a parameter, such as "width" that I want to use in various

parts in that assembly. I don't seem to be able to define the parameter in

the assembly and then reference that same parameter in the individual parts.

My goal is to be able to change the "width" parameter and have all of the

appropriate parts be updated.

I have done this successfully using a separate spreadsheet file linked to

several different part files, but that seems like a lot of overhead when you

just want to have a couple of "global" parameters. Is there any other way

to do this?

Thanks,

Blane Beilke

1. Linked Spreadsheet (which you have discovered)
2. Derived Parameters

I have tutorials on both techniques on my site.
