Assembly constraints crashes Inventor

Has anyone incountered this problem.
When I try to create an assembly and mate two parts Inventor shuts down and
returns me to the desktop. No error messages, nothing. I've tried using
existing parts, new parts, but always the same result. I can select a mating
face on one part, but as soon as I select the mating face on the second part
Inventor crashes.

Are you up to date on SP's?

Matrox cards in the past has had a really bad rep with Inventor. I
still haven't heard anyone with real positive things to say about them.
Try setting App Options >>Hardware tab to Override ..... Microsoft GDI
generic driver. and see if that helps.

I had that sometime ago. ATI Radeon (another bad rep with Inventor). I
uninstalled IV and re-installed, then re-installed the SP, then re-installed
the driver and it came right.

Nobody I know of has heard a word from him, despite multiple attempts to contact him. 8^(

I was aware that it is certified, but I am still waiting to hear anyone with anything
positive to say about it.

Hi Kent,
I've been working all day in Inventor without any problems since I
reinstalled this morning.
I've got about 6 weeks of work to do with Inventor, so I'll let you know how
the graphics card handles.
