What you're looking for is in the 'solution' box in the constraint dialog.
For a mate, the flipped condition is actually a slightly different
constraint (flush). You can toggle between the two at will. The angle
constraint has a flip option for both faces that is more like the MDT
method. It's just a slightly different workflow to achieve the same result.
It's easier IMO, but takes a bit of getting used to.
