assembing steps to create stairs

Hi

I have a couple of simple assemblies.Which is the correct way to assemble the steps and rails to create a stair case?

The steps are to be horizontal...how would you create this stair case?

Thanks

I cant open the assembly from rdyson in 2013, although I can open the OP's files...

without knowing more about the workflow I wont bother attempting a solution but after doing architectural handrails for a few years I try to use part-feature patterns (driven by user parameters) wherever possible. However if you know you wont be needing to make any changes then it might not be worth setting up a part pattern to drive it all.

I worked like that due to the ease of making serious changes down the track. (when we realise that the site is not constructed in the way that the architect thought it would be ie. differing risers/goings & number of treads)
