I've seen this, too.
I think it's gone after a re-start.

I can go into an existing assembly that I had no trouble with last week and
edit a part, edit any feature and when I click on done I get this error??
very scary. I have tried restarting but I will try again.

once that error comes up you basically have to shut it down because all
sorts of weird things happen and you keep getting that error whenever you
try and edit a part.

Hi Scott,

Did a reboot resolve this issue?

No. it will work fine for a while in this project then once I get the error
(usually in the idw of the assembly trying to cut a section) then it all
goes south. I was wondering if one of my parts might be corrupt?

Hi,

You mentioned in an earlier post that it also impacted existing assemblies.
Does the problem only start when you are working in a particular assembly or
when you are working in any assembly in this project?

Once I get that error it seems that inventor is corrupted then. seems to be
from the idw. I keep trying to cut a section thru a view and I get this
error. the view I am trying to cut a section thru has a converted solidworks
model and a converted Iges file as two of the parts. I deleted them from the
assembly but still it will not cut that section even in a new idw.
So yes once I get that error if I go to a different project and try and edit
a part it acts the same. it seems to just start in my current project on
that idw.
I have used these templates for years so I know it is not them.
