Anyone got any plans?

I need to get hold of some more complicated drawings for mechanical objects to practice with.

Does anyone have any or know of sites on the web I could get download some?

Cheers

Most of these are a little out-dated as the software functionality has changed - but the Vacuum is fairly up-to-date.

Great, some interesting modeling problems there so thanks for that, but I'm looking for complicated drawings to model from.

Hi stoob,

You can find some practice drawings at this link. Some are pretty basic, and others are a bit more involved, but none are really meant to be difficult:

http://inventortrenches.blogspot.com/2011/03/modeling-practice-drawings-for-inventor.html

For some advanced challenges you can look here:

http://worldcup.teknigroup.com/worldcupfiles.asp

Each challenge can be found in a file names something such as: IVNGWC-2009-12.zip, and the solutions are provided in a different zip file.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

You should own some calipers.

Awesome Curtis! Just what I need, I'll get on with the those drawings asap.

I've got calipers but I really need some practice with plans as I might have a job in 2 weeks! Smiley Tongue

Most libraries have Technical Drawing textbooks with many dimensioned parts/assemblies.

Does the company you are interviewing with have a website?
I would model up some stuff similar to what they make and put together a portfolio.
