Hi!
I need to get normal modes for an electronic board. It is made of FR4 laminate. Does Inventor Professional 2014 supports transverse isometric materials in a modal analysis?

You can set your materials to Transverse Isotropic, yes. The setting is in the material editor, under physical properties --> mechanical. There's a pulldown menu there, you can set the materials to isotropic, transverse isotropic, or orthotropic.

LT.Rusty, thank you for reply!
I applied the material as you said. After simulation I generated an automatic report, and I found only isotropic properties in the materials table... Then I made different materials for tests, but seems Inventor considers only isotropic materials in modal analysis... Am I wrong?
Inventor anaysis is limited to isotropic materials.
