Also, after I have changed my title block template, is there a way to update
a drawing that has the older template in it?

Thanks again

John

I assume you created your template in the same way the others exist? So that you can go into the browser on the left hand side of the idw screen and expand the Drawing Resources? Within the drawing resources is a folder that would contain the title block - you can cut&paste that from the template idw to the 'older' idw Drawing Resources. You can RMB-DELETE the old titleblock from inside the browser of the 'older' idw, then double-click or RMB-INSERT the updated version of the titleblock to get it to display.

It still inserts the old title block.  How is
the title block in the drawing resourcesfolder referencing the template in the
template folder?  This is where I keep my border and title
block.

Thanks,

John

John

There is no mechanism like xrefs in Inventor. It is a painful manual process to change
titleblocks.

You have to open both the template and the file you want the new titleblock in.
In the existing file, delete the titleblock in all the sheets, and in the folder in the
browser
Then switch to the template and rmb on the template in the folder and copy, switch to the
existing file and rmb on the folder and paste.

That did it Kent, thanks. Yes it is a pain but has to be done on occasion.
