Alternative geometry.

I have parts like straps and labels that has different geometry in the assemblies than on the drawings.

How should one handle this?

How do you handle this?

The label, for instance, is the same part in the ERP/PLM system when it´s flat and when it´s curved.

I imagine you could do something with iParts.

Me, I'm too lazy to draw labels. If it was neccessary to have one on my BOM I would use a virtual part to hold the numbers.

The problem is that our PLM/ERP system doesn´t understand virtual components.

And Inventor produces instance files for the iPart. Files that have their own uniqe id in the PLM/ERP.

I´m looking for something like a view representation function that can hide multisolid bodies that I don´t want to display.

I´m looking for a function equal to the once in NX or Catia.
