The Inventor 2013 file i attached has the EOP rolled up because it is a large size (not many features)...can this be modelled so the part is not so large?
How do i add the pattern also between the diamond pattern in which there will be a half diamond at each end with full diamonds between
What is the way to work out the patterns so that between the diamonds there is same size gap all around the roller?
Regards
Trent
How will the part be manufactured.
(be specific as this is very important to properly modeling the part)
Thank you
It will be a sleeve 12mm thickness. It will be rubber in material.
It will slip on to the roller.I will create the roller separately.
If it is controlled by parameters the n this would allow me to use different diameters/lengths.This is what i want to learn about parameters to control the Diamond sizes when diameters / lengths change.
Thanks
Trent
This is not the manufacturing information I would need to model correclty.
Good luck.
Precisely what information do you require
I am interested in learning how to use parameters so diamonds (in this case) change according to the diameter and length of the roller. The pattern changes size so that the diamonds fit exactly according the diameter/length (if i change the diameter and/or length then the diamonds update to fit exactly)
Thanks
Hi
Would anyone else be able to help with the question or point me in the direction of tutorials on how to set parameters?
Thanks

Are you familiar with writing and manipulating spreadsheets? Parameters work much like the data in spreadsheet cells. Keep in mind that you can use formulae referencing other parameters when creating or editing sketch dimensions. Look up in the help files regarding parameter equations and functions. You should find them to be particularly powerful.
