Adaptive sweep. Can you

Hi all,
I thought after modelling a part that I wanted to change the base sketch, so
I made some of the features below it adaptive , no problem. Then I got to
the sweep and I couldn't RMB adaptive on the feature through properties, or
make the sketches adaptive either, no option 😞 So I delete the sweep
and make the sketch for path adaptive then redo the sweep, aha adaptive
sweep. No it looks like one but it doesn't behave like one 😞 Am I doing
this wrong or is this feature not capable of adaptivity?

Laurence,

Can you post what you have. It's a bit hard to visualize what you are
saying...

Sorry for the delay Sean,
I have put a file in CF which is a virtual copy of what I mean, the
exception is that I was trying to use project cut edges in my original
instead of project edges like in CF. We know that project cut edges cannot
be made adaptive.
The fact remains that although you can it appears make a sweep adaptive you
have to make sketch adaptive before the constructing sweep? and once applied
can not be undone by RMB whatever? Only by deleting the sweep first! Unless
I missed something? Other features you just RMB adaptive or properties.
Thanks.

OK I'm a bit confused.

What is the issue?

In the example you posted if I change the base extrusion the sweep changes
as well.

If I delete the sweep and project the face of the extrusion then use this
for the sweep, the sweep also changes with a change to the base extrusion.

I see what you say about not being able to make it adaptive via RMB after
the sweep but I don't think it's necessary in this context. Now had you
been projecting geometry from another part then it would be required.

Sorry to lead you up the garden path Sean, I have even confused myself doh,
that's easy.
When things don't work you look for things that aren't really there 😞
maybe a glitch on my file, everything that didn't work yesterday works
today. I just have to remember that IV is not that reliable and restart
program, something I noticed in 5.3 when you redo features several times in
succession maybe my hardware. Thanks for your time sorry I wasted it.
