Adaptive Spring Help

I have created a spring assembly with 3 parts. I have a coil at either end and a basic coiled extrusion as the body of the spring. I placed the 2 end coils in the assembly first and then created the body coil in the assembly. I used two projected circles (one from each start/end coil) to establish the length of the body coil. I named the driven dimension LENGTH and used LENGTH as the parameter for the coil length and pitch. The coil model generates perfectly but then I am not allowed to drag the ungrounded end coil to "make the spring" longer. However if I supress the body coil and then drag the end coil,  and then unsupress the body coil, the body will adapt. Why can I not get the assembly to function without having to supress the middle coil.

I attached a ZIP file with the assembly files and all the components in the assembly. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Is it possible to use the drive constraint command to get the spring to update in real time? See the below videos for reference.

I note the same procedure is used in the youtube video below.

I hope this helps. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks,
