Acad Mechanical DX

Hi all,

I have heard a little bit about this Autocad Mechanical DX. What exactly is
it? Where Can I get it?

Any insight please

Thank You.

I agree with Sean 100%, this is movnig backwards. I think that this DX
setup, whatever is behind it, will be sloppy at best. This is all time that
should be pumped into IDW improvement.

Maybe they don't have a John M. Browning or Wernher Von Braun of drawing
modules ... or ... could be they think if they ignore us on a really slick
drawing module long enough, we'll fagedaboudit.

So because you don't need it there should be no improvements made to the Mechanical
programs? There is still a lot of people that haven't moved to Inventor that could use a
tool like this to help them get over the hump. The more people using Inventor and
eventually making the switch the more development AD can afford to pump into Inventor.
Call me crazy but I see it as a good thing even though I probably won't use it.

Besides they are two separate development groups, and the Mechanical group is by far
dwarfed from the Inventor group. You didn't loose anything in IDW development because of
Mechanical DX.

I agree Kent. I see this as just one more arrow in my quiver, so to speak.
If you don't need it don't use it! I personally can see that in may come in
very handy!

Kent,

Actually, I might end up having to use DX. However the only reason I would
use it is to workaround IDW shortcomings. I would prefer that the IDW
shortcomings be resolved so I don't have to hop back and forth between apps.
