A-Side Compute Error - Sheet Metal Part

Inventor tells me to fix the A-Side Definition, but I don't find a way to do it. Here's a screenshot of the problem:

You are my Inventor training. Thank you for that.

Attach your *.ipt file here and end all doubt.

Why did you use an Extrude feature for a simple sheet metal part?

From the image, something doesn't look right with the Cut.

You cannot "fix" the A-side definition as long as there's a flat-pattern present.
If you delete the flat-pattern, you can delete or redefine the A-side.

Also, see JDMather's remarks about the extrude feature...

I tried it with a Face feature instead of Extrude. That fixed it.
I must remember to use Face for sheet metal parts.

There is no reason you cannot use Extrude rather than Face, but you must use it correctly.

Just as an additional....I was having the same error message so I took Niels advice and deleted the flat pattern.

Turns out I'd added a flange when a flat pattern had already been created, so once FP was deleted the problem resolved itself.
