3D content is not central......here anyway

I think the 3D content on the other SoftWare's site is great and I use it
quite a bit but is there a reason why something like that couldn't be done
at Adesk's site for native Inventor parts? Another question is how can there
be so many parts modeled? are there more SoftWare users out there than
Inventor users?

There is something like that on the Autodesk site:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2982576&linkID=3016127

Actually, now tat I look at this link, its changed since yesterday, but
there us still something similar (they were using a version of 3D Content
Central before)

It looks like there are only manufacturers parts available and I have found
that users solids are much more accurate than the manufacturers
solids....sad isn't it?

THIS CAD REGISTRY IS LAME!

Before you were able to drag-and-drop parts right of the website into IV,
now you have to iumport them from a DWG. This seems a little backwards to me
(but what doesn't when it concerns Autodesk)

AUTODESK, PLEASE BRING BACK THE 3D CONTENT OPTION!

SW has dominated this part of the industry. Look at SMC or Desta-co's site.
Pick a part and it's generated by a SW application. I use SMC parts all the
time. Every time I go to the site I see that little SW app staring me in
the face. Then request a SAT file. Make me wonder how happy the SW guys
are to be able to request a native SW file...
