2D flat pattern to 3D curved shape

Good Morning! I'm having some trouble trying to figure out how to take a 2D pattern and lay it on to a 3D curved shape if thats even possible. I'll be honest ... I'm fairly new to inventor so I'm not even sure where to start with this one. I have attached the assembly if thats of any help.

An assembly file (*.iam) is only a list of hyperlinks to the part files (*.ipt) and a record of assembly constraints (and a bit more).

You must include the part files.

Your Sketch1 in the part file is not located with symmetry about the origin.

Your Sketch1 in the part file does not have any dimensions, yet if I dimension it, the dimesions are perfect.

What happened to the dimensions?

Your inlay sketch should be in the same part file.

I recommend you start here.
