2015 Inventor presentation problem

I'm having a problem with a presentation file that won't update.

I have an assembly where parts were changed and the new parts are not showing up in the browser panel in my presentation. All of the parts and assemblies that were not changed can still be found using the 'find in browser' tool. The two assemblies that are new do not have the option to find in browser and do not show in the browser panel.

I'm running Inventor 2015 with SP1. Just updated to SP1 this week.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

John

Can't seem to edit my post but I wanted to add that this is now happening in more than one presentation file. I don't recall there ever being a problem prior to the service pack installation but I might just be blaming it because it was the last thing I changed.

thanks

I don’t think we can blame this on SP1 for Inventor 2015. I didn’t have it loaded and I created a new presentation file and saved it then added components and the Presentation file updated to what was in the assembly. As long as the assembly was save before opening or switch to the presentation file.

I then applied SP1 for Inventor 2015 and repeated the same process. Again the presentation file updated to what the last saved assembly showed.

Are you using any custom//user Design View Representation to create the view in the presentation file. If so did you select the Associative option?

Try opening the assembly or part through the presentation file and make a edit and save it then return to the presentation file to see if it updated and let us know.

We are having the same issue. We just loaded Inventor 2014 and opened a file created in Inventor 2012. The files/sub-ssemblies show up in the view but are missing in the browser bar. I checked the files back out and opened them with Inventor 2012 and the files are in the browser like they should be. Please see attached files.

Thanks.

Me too.  I am having the same exact problem.  I am running Inventor Professional 2014 64 bit with Service Pack 2 Update 2.
