In 2015 when in a drawing (idw) and I hit "T" to place text it starts a new sketch.
Is this new functionality done for a reason? if so why?
If I use the "text" button on the ribbon from the annotate tab I don't get a new sketch?
I can't seem to figure out how to modify that hotkey to just create annotation text without creating a sketch.

I thought the default for starting a sketch was "s" in an idw, at least that's how it is in 2014 and previous...
Can you change it by going to Tools > Customize > keyboard?
"S" is for creating a sketch still..
BUT pressing "T" just to create some normal text (for notes,etc..) now creates a sketch and starts the text command thats in "sketch mode". But using the text button on the ribbon does NOT create a sketch and just places regular annotation text like it used to do (pre 2015).
Lets see if I can embed this chronicle video.. (well can't figure out how to embed it)

That doesn't seem right at all...
Is the hotkey for text split into multiple categories now?
Because in 2014 it's only in the annotation category:
I think you might just have caught a bug here, though...

Looks like a bug, err, "issue" in 2015 to me.
In 2014 it uses the same alias in different environments without changing enviroments on you.

Thanks JD.. I forgot about the "HTML" tab..
This issue has been logged to the development team and they are working on addressing this soon. Either the first update or service pack is the target for 2015 fix.
