2014 Harsh Prehighlight

Is there a way to tone down the harshness or perhaps change the color of the prehighlight while modeling parts and assemblies?

The bright white is like headlights in the fog.

I know that the prehighlight can be turned off in the Options screen, but I would rather have it on, just duller or not so white.

Finally been upgraded to a brand spanking new

Boy do I feel dumb.

Yeah, I had the color set to Winter Night.  Doh.
