2013 - Open Dialog does not retain resizing after parts list export

I had resized the File>Open dialog in Inventor.  I had resized it so that it was quite large so I realized pretty quickly when I opened another file, that the window size had rest to its original size.

What I found was that if I export a parts list to excel, then go to File>Open, for some reason the size of my file>open dialog is cleared.

Anyone else seen this?

Karthur, I am seeing the same thing in 2013 here. If I export the BOM to excel it does reset the open file dialog.

So you're not going nuts, just in case you were wondering ... Smiley Very Happy

The dialog resizing fiasco is enough to make anyone nuts.,... lol

Wonder if this is a new feature of 2013 or is it in 2012 as well?

You’re not seeing things. This issue has been around for a few releases and is a known issue in development tentatively resolved in the first service pack of 2013. You can also duplicate it by selecting the open dialog box, resizing it, opening a file and linking a parameter in from another part file, assembly file or xls file. When you next use the open dialog it’s become resized. I’ve added this newsgroup post to the issue with development. Thank you.
