Used the task scheduler to migrtate some idws from 2011. When I open them now, the thread leader is going off in space. Not sure if it does it on ALL of them, but I have noticed it on several. No problem to fix.... its just that its a pain.

EVERY idw that I have looked at that has a thread leader is messed up. Some of the leaders to threaded holes are also out of place.
It seems that the migration of the ipt is what is causing the issue. In 2013, if I get the 2011 version of the part from vault and the 2013 version of the idw, I dont see the issue. But, if I get the migrated version of both (migrated with TS), then I see the issue.
Could you attach the dataset for more investigation?
Please send it to me @ river-yijiang.cai@autodesk.com
Same thing here, nice to know, now that I have mirgated all my files I will need to go back and fix all the ones with threads!
Hope you dont have too many to do.
Good thing I just done one folder to start. Hopefully they will have a quick answer for this.
Seems to be an issue only if the thread note is attached to a hidden line.
If you fix the idw, attaching the thread note to the hidden line, then do a rebuild all on the model, the thread note becomes detached again!
Maybe you could test this an confirm what I am seeing.
OUCH!!!
I think ALL of my thread notes will be attached to a hidden line.
Same thing here. If I do a Rebuild All on the ipt, the notes becomes detached and sick again.
Hello,
Can you please tell me, which build you are using? your post says that you are on update1.
I am not able to reproduce this on update 1.
Thank you,

John,
Try unchecking the "Enable background updates". Its under App Options, Drawing tab.
I tested that on the threads and that seems to fix it. Didnt have a idw that has FCFs. See if that fixes that as well. I know this doesnt fix the files you have laready migrated, but if you get the idws fixed, maybe they will stay fixed.

I opened the original file after applying SP1 and rechecked "Enable Background Updates". This issues seems to have been fixed by Inventor 2013 SP1.
