STL files in Fusion?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone works with STL files?  If so, perhaps you know what Fusion can do with them.  I opened an STL file which placed a "Mesh" object in the tree but there doesn't seem to be any way of using it.  None of the commands seems to be set up to work with the mesh. The wiki help does not "help" unfortunately.

Any help appreciated.

Petr

STL files are only used for visual reference within Fusion.

Also note that STL files have surface geometry that is converted for 3D printing into triangular regions, often referred to as facets. For this reason they are not considered worthwhile to use for any kind of CAD/CAM that involves accuracy.
